Historic Royal Palaces Festivals FAQs

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions. For questions relating to a specific festival, please refer to the FAQ page for that event.

Does my ticket include entry to the Historic Royal Palaces venue?accordian title

Yes tickets include free entry to both the Festival and the Historic Royal Palaces venue unless otherwise stated. 

How much are tickets for the Historic Royal Palaces Food Festivals?accordian title

Standard advance tickets vary per festival. For full ticket prices, please visit the individual festival websites. More information coming soon. Sign up to our newsletter to be among the first to hear when tickets go on sale. 

What is the transaction fee and when does it apply?accordian title

The transaction fee covers the costs of processing your order, producing your tickets, and in the case of postal delivery, the packing and delivery of the tickets to you. The fee applies to postal, print at home and e-tickets to cover the costs of: credit card fees; ticketing technology; onsite scanning staff; customer services and administration, all of which are involved in the processing, production and issuing of your tickets. The transaction fee applies per order not per ticket. For example, if you purchase six tickets, you only pay one transaction fee.

Is there an age limit to enter?accordian title

Under 18s are admitted to the Festivals, accompanied by an adult. In accordance with the law, visitors aged under 18 are not permitted to purchase/sample alcoholic drink products or knives. It is the attending adult’s responsibility to ensure visitors aged under 18 are aware and comply with these laws for the duration of their visit to the Festivals.

I am registered disabled, do I get a concessionary ticket?accordian title

Complimentary adult carer tickets can be obtained on the day of your visit upon presentation of proof of registered disability (such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter).

When will my tickets arrive?accordian title

You should receive your print at home ticket by email straight away.

If you haven't recieved your tickets, please contact See Tickets on the dedicated Customer Service page here. Please have ready the email address or name you booked under or your order number if you have it.

Are there any discounts on group bookings?accordian title

Please visit the Historic Royal Palaces website for further information about groups.

Can I bring a school group?accordian title

School groups are not permitted at the Festivals, on any day. Please note, if group tickets are purchased for a school they will be turned away on arrival.

Can I bring my own food and drink to the festivals?accordian title

Yes you can bring your own food and drink to the Festivals, however there are many stalls and vendors we would love you to try instead!

Are dogs permitted to the festivals?accordian title

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted to the Festivals, with the exception of Guide or Assistance Dogs. 

Are there cash machines onsite?accordian title

There are no cash machines on site. Some producers don’t accept cards, so be sure to bring enough cash with you!
