KANPAI, meaning 'cheers' in Japanese, is the UK's first sake brewery. Founded by couple Lucy and Tom Wilson in 2016 after falling in love with the fermented rice drink in Japan, they hand craft all their modern British sakes using traditional Japanese techniques, in Peckham, London.
KANPAI are inspired by the experimental approach of the beer breweries that surround them in London so they are always pushing boundaries with sake styles. They offer a sake for every taste - bold savoury sakes, soft fruity sakes, sparkling sakes and cloudy sakes!
Come explore KANPAI for yourself! Whether you're new to sake or drink it often, drop by to taste a sample and their expert brewers will be on hand to talk all things sake, or grab a spot on one of their guided tasting sessions held throughout the weekend to get your tastebuds around the range.
Plus you can see the wonders of rice fermentation in action with KANPAI's live demonstrations of making amazake - a gut-friendly nonalcoholic sake - using koji, the magic mould of Japan that's at the heart of sake, miso and soy sauce.
